House and tract-home moving
Every Oakley house moves on its own terms, and a fair quote ought to reflect that. One day it’s a turning two-story staircase in a Laurel-area tract; the next it’s an older single-story by downtown with a low garage and a pinched side yard; the day after that it’s a Delta home you reach down a long shared driveway. That variety is the reason our own W-2 crew takes the job, with the flat rate built around the staircase and the house actually in front of us, the figure put down on paper before your date rolls around.
Homes we handle weekly
Most weeks lean heavily on two-story tracts and their turning staircases, scattered through the Oakley, Brentwood, and Antioch subdivisions, narrow upstairs hallways and pinched landings included. Filling out the rest are the single-story ranches on the older streets, the Delta homes off the levee roads, and the newer builds toward Discovery Bay. Better than a decade leading these crews has left Diego Morales able to find any of those upstairs hallways or tight garage turns with his eyes shut.
What the flat rate buys
Truck and fuel sit inside the rate, so do the blankets, dollies, and straps, and so does a crew that pads and wraps each piece well before it reaches the ramp. Dining tables, bed frames, the bulky case goods, all of it comes apart where you’re leaving and goes back together where you’re arriving. Floor protection runs through every room and the corners and frames get capped, because one gouge on new luxury vinyl plank or a fresh stair tread is there for good.
| House size | Typical flat band |
|---|---|
| Two-bedroom | $1,100 to $1,600 |
| Three-bedroom | $2,000 to $2,800 |
| Four-bedroom | $2,800 to $4,200 |
Stairs and Delta heat
A two-story staircase is precisely where a bargain crew either inflates the bill or scrapes the wall. We map the descent ahead of time, pad every turn, and bring the couch or the refrigerator down two stories without a single scuff. Once summer hits and the Delta climbs past a hundred, load-out gets timed with care, since that heat warps candles, softens vinyl, and drains a crew fast, so the truck stages in shade, water stays within reach, and the heavy load clears out before the afternoon tops out.
Oakley-rooted, family-run
Well before there was a company, hauling furniture up two-story stairs exactly like these as a teenager around Oakley showed me what a straight East County house move demands of a crew. Our crew shows up already understanding that, which is the whole reason the figure we print and the figure you settle at never come apart.
