Terms & Conditions of Service
The sections below set out the agreement that binds you to Nava Bros Moving — a California-licensed household-goods carrier based in Oakley — covering both this website and the moving work we perform. Please read through it before you request a quote or hire us, because either step counts as accepting what’s written here.
How we build your price
We assemble your written figure from the facts you hand us — the two addresses, the flights of stairs, how access runs at each end, any gate codes, any special items, and the date — and it reflects exactly the move you described to us. Since that figure can only be as accurate as the facts underneath it, a real discrepancy on move-day shifts the math: a staircase you didn’t mention, a destination that changed, or a load running well beyond what we quoted each give us cause to pause and walk a revised number through with you, rather than sliding it past you at the curb. A quote on its own doesn’t lock in your date — that slot is yours once we confirm it back to you.
Holding and canceling a date
Whoever locks in the date first gets the calendar. If your date has to move or has to drop off the books, send us as much notice as you can so the opening can go to another household. Whatever deposit or specific cancellation terms apply to your job show up in the written quote or the move agreement — never tucked away down here.
Who you’re hiring
For California moves we hold CPUC Cal-T No. 0192284, and for interstate work we hold USDOT/MC operating authority; every move runs on trucks we own with W-2 crews on our payroll. Brokering a job, or shipping it off to some other company, is simply not how we operate. The work we offer covers residential and commercial relocation, packing, and storage — reaching across Oakley and East Contra Costa, up into the Walnut Creek and Concord towers, and out past the region on cross-state runs.
What we expect from you
- Be straight with us about the move — how many rooms, how much weight, which pieces are unwieldy
- Tell us up front about stairs, gate codes, parking limits, and anything fragile or oversized
- Handle any building or HOA clearance that falls outside what we can arrange
- Keep the route legal and unobstructed for the crew at the pickup and at the drop-off both
Claims for loss or damage
The extent of our liability for loss or damage turns on the protection tier you pick and on the federal and state rules that apply to it. At the no-cost end sits released-value protection, which sets that minimum at 60 cents for each pound of an item; spend a bit beyond that and full-value protection steps in. Any claim needs to come to us in writing; for interstate work, you generally have around nine months from the delivery date to bring one.
Using this website
Read the material on this site as a general overview of our work — we keep it as correct as we reasonably can, but we don’t warrant that it’s exhaustive or free of mistakes. Putting the site to any unlawful purpose is off-limits, as is any attempt to overload it, harm it, or otherwise disrupt its operation.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms when circumstances call for it; whichever version happens to be on this page at a given moment is the one in effect.
